Hudson's On The Docks - 1 Hudson Rd, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926

          Hudson's On The Docks has one of the best unobstructed views of the sunset of Skull Creek. Their outdoor seating area and waiting area are casual and perfect for sunset selfies.

 

Skull Creek Boathouse - 397 Squire Pope Rd, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926

          Skull Creek Boathouse sits behind the large industrial boat storage facility and affords an excellent view of Skull Creek and large pier on which to walk out for a water view. The outdoor seating area is casual and fun, but quiet often busy. The view to the sunset while seated is partially obstructed, but the overall ambience is great for sunset dining.

 

Skull Creek Dockside - 2 Hudson Rd, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926

          Skull Creek Dockside is part of the SERG Group restaurant conglomerate along with Skull Creek Boathouse, and as such the two properties run together across a great expanse of the shore of Skull Creek. The restaurant has upper and lower outdoor seating with a good view of the sunset, and in addition there is a commercial boat dock where guests can walk out for photos. There are play areas for kids between the two restaurants and live music keeps it lively during the busy season.

 

 

Sunset Grille - Jenkins Island Rd, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926

          The Sunset Grille is a bit off the beaten track as it is located in the marina area of the Hilton Head Harbor Marian and RV Resort. Comfortable casual fare is offered with a southern flair. They offer both inside and outdoor seating with a water view and beautiful sunsets.

The Crazy Crab (North End Location) - Located on Jarvis Creek on the north end of Hilton Head Island, this newly rebuilt restaurant offers beautiful views across the marsh from their outdoor seating.

 

Hilton Head Mid Island

The mid island section of Hiton Head Island offers restaurants that are positioned along the borders of Broad Creek and the Broad Creek Salt Marsh offering expansive views of sunsets and scenery. Most of these locations are found along Marshland Road and in the Shelter Cove Towne Centre area.

Poseidon - 38 Shelter Cove Ln Ste 121, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928

          Poseiden sits on the corner of Shelter Cove Towne Centre overlooking the Shelter Cove Community Park and the Broad Creek Salt Marsh. The second floor balcony seating has a great view of the sunset.

 

The Old Oyster Factory - 101 Marshland Road, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926

          This mid-island favorite offers a wonderful sunset view especially during the summer months. With both indoor and outdoor dining, almost every table has a view of the sunset.

 

 

 

Fish Camp - 11 Simmons Rd, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926

          On the waterfront of Broad Creek, Fish Camp has a large outdoor seating area and outside bar both of which afford a nice view of the sunset. The restaurant is adjacent to Broad Creek Marina, and you can walk out on the pier for a better view of the sunset and a photo.

Hilton Head Island South End

On the south end of Hilton Head Island you will find most of the waterfront locations within the Sea Pines Resort or at Palmetto Bay Marina. There are gate fees to enter Sea Pines if you are not a resident or registered guest.

Palmetto Bay

The Black Marlin - Located in the Palmetto Bay Marina shopping complex, this restaurant offers patio seating. There is not a direct view of the sunset, but the glow of the setting sun may light up the sky above your outdoor table.

Harbour Town 

The Crazy Crab (South End Location) - Located in Harbour Town, this popular family restaurant does not have a direct view of the sunset, but if you time your dining properly you can enjoy a fantastic sunset from the marina or pier before or after dinner.

South Beach

The Salty Dog - There are a variety of eateries within the South Beach Marina Village. While some offer outdoor seating there is no direct view of the sunset in this area. But you can take the short walk across the road to the beach on Calibogue Sound to take in a gorgeous sunset across the water before or after your dinner.
