There's no better place to watch a sunset than on a beach, and Hilton Head Island has some of the most beautiful beaches to be found in the USA. The greatest stretch of Hilton Head beach faces East towards the Atlantic Ocean, which is great for watching the sun rise, but not as good for sunsets. However, there are still some beach locations to on which you can enjoy a sunset.

Folly Field Beach - This public beach is located at the end of Folly Field Road in the mid-island area of Hilton Head Island. There is plenty of parking, and easy access to the usually uncrowded beach. This is a good spot

Tower Beach, Sea Pines - Tower Beach is a "residents only" beach within the Sea Pines Resort. There is limited parking and during the busy season your parking pass may be checked. Best to visit this beach with a Sea Pines Resident or by bicycle.

South Beach, Sea Pines - Located at the southern tip of Hilton Head Island, South Beach faces the Calibogue Sound offering a beautiful view of the sunset across the water with Daufuskie Island in the background. Parking is often crowded in the busy season, and bicycles might be a better choice for visitors.
